FAQ

What does it mean to integrate my Christian faith into therapy sessions?

Faith can be an integral part of a client’s life. For a lot of clients their faith is a big part of their identity and an asset to any process of change. Integrating faith into therapy can look like using Scripture, prayer, and theology as a lens through which to explore a problem.

What if I am not a Christian?

If you are not a Christian, please know that I would still love to be your therapist. You should know that I am a Christian and thus it informs my worldview, just as your beliefs inform your worldview. It is never my intention to push my beliefs on anyone, but instead it hopefully makes me more grace-filled as I walk alongside you.

What are your rates?

I understand that therapy can be very necessary and also very expensive for people. In order to help counselling be accessible for everyone, I offer a sliding scale based on household income. Please feel free to contact me for more a personalized rate.

How many sessions do I need?
Every person and presenting problem is different, therefore the numbers of sessions will vary. I work with clients to cater to their financial and time limitations, therefore therapy could range from being solution-focused to more long-lasting work.
How do sessions work?
If you have never been to therapy before, this can be quite intimidating. Do not worry, I walk alongside you during the whole process. The first step is a quick intake, where we collect your information, and after that we can begin sessions. Sessions are usually 45-50 minutes long.
Are you covered by my insurance plan?

Yes! I am covered under most insurance plans. At the time of payment, I will give you a receipt. These receipts can be submitted for your insurance claim.
